[solved by 3.0.04.220] Access Point mode bricks guest WLAN, Media Server, Samba ...
Hi there,
I had several problems with .178, e.g. posted
http://forums.smallnetbuilder.com/showthread.php?t=7868
http://forums.smallnetbuilder.com/showpost.php?p=46167&postcount=31
etc...
Clearing NVRAM several times also did'nt solve that issues.
Believe it or not after switching from AP to Router mode, everything seems to work: Guest WLAN page reappears, Samba pages work and my USB drive is recognized...!
My only conclusion: Using .178 based fw something strange happens in AP mode only. Most of you will use the RT-N66U as a router so you haven't suffered from that bug. Otherwise this forum had been full of ongoing severe complaints...
Knowing that AP bug I can live with it. Nevertheless I hope Asus will solve that, too.
