Are current available Fws of Rt_n66u compatible with windows8?

I have seen some message in official Asustek forum that after upgrade (fresh install) of W8 (no version indicated) user had no possibility connect to router.
Also at Asus downloads, among OS and stock fw, there is no OS like w8 listed.
And what about Merlin's then?
Anyone has experience with it?
I do have laptops with windows 8 Professional, 64 bit edition, will try to check later today. But so far did not see more remarks about issues.

It is a router, its function is to route IP packets.
IP packets do not contain any information about the OS!

Validation requires time (and money). Be patient.

Win 8 computer connects no problems , even loaded the FW from win 8 with no problem , maybe I'm just lucky ?

Windows 8 implements 802.11w (MFP); previous Windows versions do not.
A vendors could have their own implementation of MFP, which isn't compatible (this was a problem on Cisco WLCs).
Windows 8 is not compatible with some wireless networks.
Since OS can matter, testing is justified.

now I am running my home desktop with W8 with no problems so far. Migrated yesterday.
