New Around Here
Hi...

I'd like to know if there is a way to fix Asus 5300 router after updating to AsusWrt ??

nothing working and it keeps rebooting every 5 seconds... plus when I try to press the reset button the power LED freeze nothing working except WAN port ....

please help if there is a way.. tried 30/30/30 no luck... even static ip .. no luck also...

regards

Turn the router on while pressing the reset button. After about 5-10 secs the power led should flash, release it.

You can then use Asus's Firmware Recovery tool to reflash it.

Didnt work.... nothing at all... both methods didnt work...
If I press the reset button while booting it freeze the power led nothing more...

"It happen when I did a (erease linux)

Please help :(...

If you can't put it into recovery mode by using the reset button then it's most likely a hardware issue.

I did a erase linux then reboot .. not working ...

Even serial method wont work for me??

If yes can you tell me how? To do it with this model? Please?

As I said, if it fails to enter recovery mode, then something must be wrong with the hardware. You might be able to tell more by hooking a serial interface to it, but chances are, if it's a hardware issue, then you will need to RMA the device.

Is there a way or tutorial how to hook serial to the router? Please?

Pretty straightforward, as Asus even puts a header, and identifies all the pins on it. Just connect ground, RX and TX (do not connect VCC), use a Serial to TTL adapter. There's no guide in itself, but many posts on the forums here discuss the use of serial dapters. It's the same for all Asus router models.
