New Around Here
I have tried all the recent update and the router does now seem to stay connected. Certain site will not open while google always works. Some of my secure sites seem hit or miss. Is there some setting I need to change from the default setting to stay connect. Very frustrating
Thanks in sdvance

I went back to the alpha 4 version again but it also seems to not open the same sites reliably. Even this site does not open most times or freezes while opening a page. Is the any setting I can change to just get this router to work reliably?

Thanks

Have you changed any default settings?

Do you have QoS enabled?

Have you reset the router to factory defaults when you switch firmware versions?

More info may help in getting you an answer.

defaults all left unchanged, did hard reset before updating by holding button in until flashing after completely unplugging and letting reboot, have not check QoS but will now
Anything else I can tell you I will to get this up and running reliably

You need to do a hard reset after upgrading firmware versions.

Doing it before upgrading is not the same.

Can't say I have experienced these issues. I was setting up my VPN though, and all of sudden it just wouldn't load anything on any devices. I removed the VPN settings, still no go. I started turn things on and off, rebooted, and randomly it came back and hasn't done it since.

I'm gonna go with me just being excited for a new firmware and messing with stuff which is what broke it there.

I have tried about every version I can and it still freezes when opening even this site about a quarter through loading the page and ask me if I want to recover the page. My netgear has no problem with this. Is it a firewall issue or other security issue. I have firewall turned off and any other security setting I can find on this router and it still will not open sites reliably, particularly if they have a https prefix.
Does this router also go to sleep and have to be woken up to get it to start connecting to the internet again if it has not been used for a few hours. I know I am reading other post about some of this and I am just trying to get reassurance its not just me and they are working on it

Thanks
