New Around Here
I am having an issues with port forwarding on Merlins 380.61 firmware. I go the settings that type in the name of the app, the port number, change to both and then hit add. I finish up and click on Apply, the pages refreshes, but it is never saved.

Am i doing something wrong here or is anyone else experiencing this issue too?

What browser are you using? Try a different one (IE, FF, Edge) or try clearing the browsers cache and/or rebooting the computer you are using to control the router with.

I have seen that to, I just refresh side and after that hit apply.

I have attempted to do that on Windows PC / Macbook and even my iPhone. I have tried Edge, Firefox, internet explorer, opera and safari with no luck. Been tempted to upgrade to the latest merlin firmware, but the last time I upgrade my network speeds suffered tremendously and this issue was still present.

Sounds like you need to do a reset to factory defaults?

In that case, I would recommend you unplug all USB devices and reboot the router. Wait 5 minutes and then flash the latest RMerlin firmware.

Now, follow the steps below to get your router to a good/known state before you try troubleshooting further.

Before you do the above, you may want to use the utility below to save a record of all your settings in human readable form (and copy/paste able form too).

Check your nvram utilitzation on the Tools > Sysinfo page. You need to have about 5K free space for everything to work correctly.

Oh! That may be! i was reading it as i am using 65550 out of 65536.

Is there a way to clear it out?

Yes. That is 'more' than you actually 'have'. :)

Haha! I re-read that! My bad!

So i went ahead and executed some commands in terminal was able to free some space back up.

nvram set nmp_client_list=
nvram commit

However, i do have a quick question? How do i go ahead and configure a script to configure this to run at a certain time everyday?
