Asus AC66U & Q See DVR Port Forwarding

el kido

New Around Here
Having a little trouble getting the port open on my Asus AC66U for a Q See QT 5516 DVR on Ports 8080 & 6036.

Currently setup DSL with this one:
TP-Link TP8817 ---> Asus AC66U ---> DVR

On the latest Merlin Build, UPnP enabled, DVR gets IP address by router (static) fine.

Had a similar setup on a AC68U with a cable modem and no issues. Not sure what is going on here. Canyouseeme.org shows negative :/

attaching some info if useful

edit: for reference, ip address 177 is the correct one for the DVR, my Phone pulled the ip info.

bump and adding info...

I have almost narrowed it down to the modem and the router issue. i still cant open the port but wanted to verify i had things right. again setup is

Internet -->TP Link TD8817 -->Asus AC66U

The TP link should be in bridge mode as i have DSL correct? But then the PPPoe information wont save. Just needed asecond set of eyes here really. Attached are some screenshots. let me know if i can supply anymore info.

Being a DSL modem doesn't guarantee that it's in bridge mode. In fact, there are more DSL modem/routers than cablemodem/routers models out there, due to the fact that DSL typically requires a PPPoE session to be established, while a cablemodem could be directly plugged into any device with a DHCP client on it.
