New Around Here
Hi all,

Was just reading through the forum to try to find if anyone else has had this problem but couldn't see any so i thought i would start a thread.

I have the Asus AC68u and for some reason can't access nba.tv to watch my league pass. This is across my home mac, work mac, iphone, ipad or nvidia shield. I can access any other website and browsing is as normal so i find it really strange it is only dedicated to one site. I have gone into my router to see if it's in a blocked list or something in there but i couldn't see anything.

The only article/blog post i've found is talking about a different router. It says go into my router, changing MAC address, save, reboot computer and reboot modem. I'm struggling to find where i can change my mac address as i can only see MAC filtering which is different i presume.

If someone that know's much more about these issues please let me know a possible cause/solution?

Thank you
Chris

Go to the Tools tab of your router and try pinging nba.tv

PING nba.tv (157.166.248.245): 56 data bytes

--- nba.tv ping statistics ---
5 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100% packet loss

nba.tv is the portal for cable companies to stream from. If it's blocked, it's probably your ISP that's blocking it, not your router. I don't believe pings from the router itself are ever blocked by the router. When you try to get to it in the browser, what do you see? 404 page?

Thanks for getting back to me Puppa.

I get this error:
ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT

Regarding TOR working, this means your ISP is likely blocking access to nba.tv. They cannot tell you are accessing nba.tv when you use TOR, so your requests go through.

Thanks Puppa.

I've found the issue... the existing dns server i have in the router is blocking the site (for some reason). I went onto my mac and hardcoded the ip address for the site in network settings and now i can access it. The only thing is it only works on my mac as i can't find a way to add multiple dns servers on the router. Can anyone help?

Have you tried opendns? I'm able to access nba.tv without any issues.
