New Around Here
I have noticed some odd behavior with a new Samsung S22 Ultra and the AX86U with wireless connection, so i'm not entirely sure if its the phone or the AX86U causing the issue.

Main Router: Asus AX11000
Second Router: Asus AX86U (setup in AP mode)
ISP: 1gbit fiber

Speedtests on the main router AX11000 results in 800/900Mbps speeds over wifi no matter what, however when i move within range of the AX86U it limits wireless speed to 150Mbps, but if i turn wifi off on the S22 Ultra and reconnect, then wireless speed tests return to 700/800Mbps on the AX86U. The S22 Ultra shows its connected at 1.7Gbps link-speed but will only deliver 150Mbps unless i turn off wifi and re-enable to get max wifi speed back.

- The AX86U was working perfectly fine before i got the S22 Ultra with a Note 20 Ultra
- Have reset the AX86U and redone settings, didnt help
- Have reset wireless settings on the S22 Ultra, didnt help
- Have set a static IP on the S22 Ultra, didnt help
- AX86U settings of -> AX Mode, 160Mhz, DL/UL OFDMA + MU MIMO

Any help appreciated

anyone ?

Reset the AX86U to default and leave the WiFi settings alone and try again. Trust your router, or access point, to choose the best channel and bandwidth settings.

Looks like I'm having the same issue as you except I'm using a Z Fold 3 and is only running a single AX58u. Either capped at 50mbps or 150mbps. I'll probably just return the router as it's not worth the hassle to figure out or wait for a firmware fix.

Ever figure this out? I have the AX82U and same issue I get 50~100Mbps down and 800+ up. Down should be much higher and other devices work fine.

do you have an s22 also?

no never figured it out, sent back the ax86u for refund so not sure if this has been fixed with either s22 firmware updates or ax86u firmware updates

Yup S22 Ultra. Had issues with Tab s7+ with Wifi 6 too.

Hi

I have same issue and do all steps that find in google: reset network setting in my S22 Ultra, factory reset of my AX86U (I even test new beta firmware 388) and nothing help to fix issue with low download speed. I even do some additional test and I'm surprise can someone smarter advice what is going on ?

My environment:
ISP: Moicio 1GB UP and 1GB down
Router: RT-AX86U (now on firmware version: 386.7_2)
Phone: Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra (exynos) and Samsung Galaxy S10 (exynos) both detect WiFi 6

Router speed test:
Download 910-930MB
Upload: 680-710MB

Symptoms:
- S10 download: 200-230MB upload: 450-500MB
- S22 download: 100-140MB upload 450MB-620MB

Aditional test:
- S22 Ultra: IP 172.16.0.141
- Desktop computer with linux and 1GB NIC : 172.16.0.135

So it's look like issue with download speed are only on WiFi - WAN inside LAN all is working fine. And as many people on google mention WiFi on S22 show connected without internet from time to time ... no such issue on S10. What is more I test connection when I was in home of my friends (he have router from ISP and connection that he have are 1000/300 ) when I connect to his router and do speed test my result was 989MB download and 308MB upload ...

And what is more I do speed test on my Lenovo ThinkPad P15 laptop connected to same WiFi and I result: ~55MB download and 530MB upload

Is there anyone who resolve or have ide how to resolve that issue ?

It caused by the S22 ultra doesn't Roaming correctly. It still connects to your main rounter AX11000. We can sure it's the S22 ultra OneUI system issue. The S9+ is much more easy to roam to the Aimesh node.

Interesting.

One of my family members has the same problem with their S22.

I had a similar issue with a Windows laptop, the speeds like these devices was asymetrical and much lower that what they should of been. Tried everything both on the laptop and on the AX88/AX88's.

Not saying this is your/the answer but it's the one that worked for me and resolved it.

One day messing around with the mobile Asus app and found that DFS was toggled off, even though I had no interference from radar for it to change and even though I was on a safe channel and in the router GUI everything was set to make me think it was on (ax mode, 160Mhz and so on). Once I toggled DFS on in the mobile router app (see screenshot below), the Laptop was 2402/2402, with it off the upload was horrid (like 1700/200 if I remember), couldn't even run a Zoom meeting.

Under 388.1 on the AX88/AX86's kept changing channels for no reason, randomly and other times, 5Ghz radio wouldn't come on and AiMesh/roaming not even worth talking about. I finally had to change the WiFi to fixed channels, that helped but still the problem persisted. Finally had to revert to 386.8/386.7_2 for stability, and toggle that DFS button on, every time I applied firmware on the router.

Here's a screen shot, the the DFS toggle highlighted

I was able to fix my WIFI speeds on my S22 Ultra by turning off Ram plus. I have the Asus AX11000 also. If you have problems with your phone disconnecting like it says "connected without internet" and you have a router that has 160mhz then you can turn off the 160mhz. My phone Wi-Fi speeds went from 400-600mbps to 940mbps after i turned off Ram Plus. When my phone use to disconnect from Wi-Fi I would check the router to see what frequency it was on and it was always on 160mhz every time the phone would disconnect so I turned off 160mhz and haven't had a disconnect since then and my phone stays on 80mhz.
