Hi guys,
So I own 2 pc of ASUS ax88u since August.
I have issue with upload speed.
It is that specfic , that I know only of 6 people who have this glitch.

I live in Israel, connected to Partner ISP.
The package I pay for is up to 1000Mbps/ 100Mbps.
I have this issue, since the day I got it out of the box.
In wireless speedtest , you get 50-70Mbps upload speed. Usually around 50Mbps.
In a WIRED speed test - the test is valid- 900+Mbps/ 100-120Mbps.
In a file upload session- wired/wireless both, I get no more than 40Mbps upload rate tops (which approx. equivalent with the wireless speedtest).
If I bypass router AX88U, and connecting straight to the modem (DLINK MEDIA converter, fiber to RJ45 with DHCP link), i get 100M average upload speed, as should.
Asus are investigating that since August.
I do know that in my country only few people have this issue with this isp and Ax88U (10 people top).
With other ISP in Israel, there is no such issue.
It is specfically this ISP, and not all of the clients, just small group.
Anybody have an idea about the cause of this matter?
Maybe someone who had/have this issue too?
I know it happens in both American version of router, and European one.
both have same HW ver 1.1.

I should probably mention I have Official firmware by Asus, not 3rd party like Merlin.
I afraid to deal with that.
Running latest stable FW 3.0.0.4.384_9579
Had for few days the 9566 FW which was terrible and tons of issues, so I downgraded to 9559 for 2 months and was perfect- except for this issue- which occurred there as well.
Thank you

What modem are you using? I had to recently upgrade my modem due to latency.

Also, try to install RMerlin latest firmware and test cake-qos or Flex-QoS as well.

You won't regret it.

Dlink media converter sfp-rj45, CAT6 cable.

Hi,

Do you have AiProtection or QoS switched ON?

PS. I have similar upload issue with AX86U (https://www.snbforums.com/threads/ax86u-slow-upload-speed-with-aiprotection-on.67149/)

What device do you connect wirelessly from?

Speedtest- Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra/ Galaxy S10.
FILE upload- Lenovo G50-70. AC card

Do you have upload problems on both devices? I have problem only on laptop/PC and only on 5GHz :(
Pls be sure you have switched all QoS, Family filers, AiProtection OFF - it helps for me, but we've payed for this stuff too :)

How do you contact ASUS tech support?

Everything is disabled.

I contact ASUS via a mail.

I have brought to their attention this matter.
In IL, 10 people have this thing.

BUMP.
Asus don't have a clue what could be the cause for this matter.
4 months started for this issue.
The weird issue is over wired speed test I do get the speed I should from my ISP.
Only on TCP session / wifi speed test I don't get it.
I do hear from friends with other Chinese WiFi 6 routers (xiaomi, huawei) it happens to them as well over my ISP.
Anything that should ring a bell?

I've reported my case to ASUS and they confirmed problem with Micro Trend integration on AX86U (some specific issue with PPoE protocol)...

Maybe it is same for DHCP.

Thanks
Hope it will be resolved soon
