Asus AXE7800 Mesh Issues w/ Android 15

I have two RT-AXE7800 routers connected in mesh. Most devices work fine, but my Pixel 9 Pro will not effectively roam between the two (one is upstairs and one is downstairs). I have to manually turn off Wi-fi and turn it back on to connect to closest node and get great connection strength. I don't see any option in Android to more aggressively roam, and the roaming assistant setting Asus GUI doesn't do anything either. My wife's iPhone roams and switches between the two APs just fine. Is there anything I can do to improve communication between the mesh system and the Pixel?
