Realise this is an AX forum, but can't see anywhere else to ask about my CT8 so hope you will indulge me as the two routers are very similar.
I have two new CT8 routers which have updated firmware and connected to a Virgin Hub 3.0 set to modem-only mode. I have followed all the set up instructions several times with factory resets etc. etc. The problem is that my (only) LED light on the router/node do not go to bright white after set up is complete but to a light blue which, according to the manual/internet, means they are "ready for set up". During the set up process the LED does flash on as bright white for a second but it then goes out. As I say, I have rebooted/reset/updated several times and both are at factory default settings except for changing the wireless channel SSID and password. . The system SEEMS to be OK - the pictograph showing connections shows solid green lines between router and AI Mesh node and signal strength seems good when measured by a wireless speed app although I do notice a slow speed initially (30-40Mb/s) when I move to a different room/node - which subsequently recovers to what I would expect (circa 200Mb/s).
1. Has anybody else had this lights issue?
2. Is the slow initial speed typical?
3. Any tips on how to overcome them?
Any info/thoughts gratefully received
