I'm wondering if anyone else is using the Asus iPhone app. It's simply called Asus Router. You can see all devices on the network and real time traffic. It seems to work well but I do have one question. There is a notification that says more secure connection. What is that? Is it a more secure connection between my phone and the router or is it making making security changes to the router itself?

I believe it connects using the https protocol and a different port making the connection between your iPhone and the router more secure than just http. I was using it until I figured out that I had to set up the router with WAN access to be able to use the app with the cellular network and I didn't want to enable it. I decided to use openvpn to establish a secure connection to my router without enabling WAN access.
