ASUS PCE-N15 Utility Windows 10 not supported

ParadokS

New Around Here
This PCI addon card itself works ok under windows 10, but the utility does not.
The utility allows to configure access point and various other settings such as what channel it broadcasts on.
My problem is that the default channel is 10 (WHYY??), which is kind of weird since the standard is 1, 6 or 11 at least in Europe.

I searched high and low, but I can't find any way to change the channel. It's not doable through driver settings in device manager and I can't find any commands via CMD either. Any tips?

What I learned today was that channel overlapping is much more detrimental to WiFi performance, than being on a crowded channel. So for my own sake, and not to disturb surrounding WiFi channels I would like to be able to change my channel for a good experience for all :)

Thanks in advance!

The PlugNPlay driver is good enough - don't need the utlity package - if you go to device manager, all the options you might need are in the advanced settings for the driver...

Keyword there being "might", I should have stated that I already tried that as one of the first options.

None of these options seem to have anything to do with channel settings.

That channel is for Ad-Hoc - doesn't really matter for Client to AP, as the AP decides what channel to use...

Don't worry, eh?

But I'm telling you that the AP is always on channel 10. As I can see on WiFi analyzer from my phone. Normally AP auto negotiate and switch between 1,6,11 for whichever has least interference. Sooo, sure I don't need to worry. I got great signal to my PC which is 2 meter away. But if channel overlapping is so bad, isn't my AP messing up my router or other WiFi in the area using channel 11?

Thought the whole point was to avoid channel overlapping at all cost. Was just trying to be friendly to my surrounding WiFi environment.
But if it's impossible to change channel so be it :) Or maybe that channel overlapping is just a bunch of woowoo that really isn't THAT important as they make it out to be ;P
