Hello guys I am posting here for the first time and firstly I would like to say I live in the UK and I was searching for a new router to buy and was eyeing the BE98 Pro because I was looking at routers and Asus seems to have the most features on their routers (some of which are hidden behind paywalls on routers from other brands but Asus does them for free) but couldn't find it here from local Asus certified retailers. After some googling I found out it is not sold in Europe but we have a non Pro model for sale in Europe which is slower and not as great. After some more googling I found this networking forum site and thought I would like to know some info on if I were to import a USA model to the UK from Newegg because they ship to the UK as well. The reason I ask is because I want to be sure if the router will work in the UK due to the different Wi-Fi bands between the two routers and if the router may be or may not be disabled from working over here or if it will lack functionality and will I get the full speed that the router offers because my ISP does 2 gigabit symmetrical down AND up speeds (symmetrical broadband is rare in the UK and I was shocked when this ISP called BRSK (pronounced brisk) moved in to my area in 2023 because I had never heard of them and they put leaflets/flyers through all the doors in my area and were also offering £75 Amazon gift cards for new customers and were selling gigabit for £30 and 2 gig for £55 which is significantly cheap than all the big major ISP's in the UK and my old ISP Virgin Media was charging over £42 for 250Mbps down/25Mbps up and that upload is shockingly slow and I had to google BRSK and go on Trust Pilot to see fi they were legit I was shocked when I got the new broadband and noticed how fast the upload was when doing certain tasks) and is upgrading their services in my area and I plan to upgrade when my ISP contract expires in a few months and want to know if I will be able to get speeds that will be better than what the regular BE98 can do
