The iOS version of the ASUS Router app is now up and available for download on the iTunes store for the iPad even though based on the vertical only screen orientation, it looks like an iPhone app running on an iPad!. But whatever the case there, I have not been able to get it to connect to my 68U rev. B1 running Merlin 378.56_2.
After launching the app and clicking on SIGN IN at the bottom of the screen, I immediately get a pop up box that says:
Is this firmware version too old and lacking the proper ingredients required for this new iOS version of the router app?
I am currently stuck with 378.56_2 because of the infamous 2.4 GHz internet connectivity bug, so until a patched update becomes available from ASUS and then Merlin, I can't upgrade for any reason.
There was a thread about this app on here a while back but I was not able to find it on the first several pages of thread listings here.
Thanks in advance for any input on what's going on here. I figure its either not supported in this firmware version, or I have found yet another bug.
