Hello there i'm new here but lurked a bit to decide my new router model.

As you may have guessed by the title i've got an Asus RT AC3200 and i've set it up flashing latest merlin firmware (380.61) just today.

Since my router goes into a "not so well" ventilated spot i was wondering if these temp readings are considered safe for long term operation: 2.4 GHz: 54°C - 5 GHz:53°C - CPU:70°C

Those readings are with a fair amount of load going just to test them (netflix, multiple torrents active, 4 phones connected and a couple of media players streaming from my local plex server).

Do you think i can be safe enough or i must check into something to cool it down a bit?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi, those are perfectly normal temps. I've just had mine running perfectly stable for 20 days now w/temps reaching 75ºC (CPU), quite a lot of load and overclocked to 1.2Ghz. I would not really worry about those temps at least until CPU reaches 85ºC or more.

If that thing has a USB port you aren't using, consider putting a USB powered laptop cooler under it..
