I am replacing an ASUS RT-AC56U (3.0.0.4.382_50010-gb0c6a12) with an ASUS GT-AC5300.
The AC56U is used as an OpenVPN server.
How do migrate the OpenVPN to the AC5300 so clients can connect to it once it is configured?
Additionally, I’d love to just save the RT-AC56U settings and restore them to the GT-AC5300 but ASUS says that’s not supported. I came across an article that touched on it but mostly dealing with DDNS. I have a static WAN IP so that not an issue. If there are threads already in existence that I didn’t find please point me to them. Also, saw notes about 382 vs 384 firmware...
I can recreate all the settings from the RT-AC56U on the GT-AC5300, while tedious, that’s fine.
I’m trying to avoid having to install new OpenVPN certificates on ~12 devices, including those of some 3rd party developers that occasionally need network access.
Thanks
