New Around Here
Hello:

I purchased the ASUS RT-AC66U based on its advertised beam-forming capability using ASUS AiRadar, as illustrated on the product page: http://www.asus.com/Networking/RTAC66U/

However, once I received the unit there was no ASUS AiRadar software and it cannot be found for download. My router has firmware 3.0.0.4.374_979-gbc8961e, which does not appear to include any beam-forming capability. Ultimately, it appears that ASUS AiRadar exists only as an advertised feature.

Optimized and Reliable Wireless Coverage via AiRadar
ASUS AiRadar intelligently strengthens connections to wireless devices. With high-powered amplification and beam packaging, it provides optimized signals in any direction with better coverage to improve your data throughput.

Is there somewhere I can find this software, or enable the function on my router? Thank you in advance.

AiRadar is not a software or an option that has to be enabled/disabled. It's more or less marketing name for various wireless technologies and optimizations that are inherent to the firmware.

Thank you for your response. It's too bad they didn't offer some kind of interface relating to beam-forming with this router.

You can turn the two types of beam forming on or off.. Sometimes you need to do this if devices are close to the router.. Someone can probably explain why better than me...
