Asus RT-AC66U B1 - Wifi Client Mode?

Hello All

I am considering getting the RT-AC66U B1, from googling I can see the stock and Merlin firmwares have a wifi/media bridge mode which is great. But I cannot verify if they support a WiFi client mode. That is to connect to an existing gateway router via WIFI and treat that as the WAN so that all the clients wired to the RT-AC66U would be on their own subnet.

Thanks for the quick response, I'll poke around the DD-WRT forums and see if the builds for it really are "stable".

You could always add a wireless ethernet bridge to the WAN port to achieve the same results (at least if you prefer to stick w/ Merlin).

I've had better luck with client mode on Freshtomato (2020.5) than DD-WRT.
