ASUS RT-AC68U and Trouble with USB Drive

Barilla

New Around Here
So here goes. I bought a RT-AC68U two days ago, and a Seagate Expansion Desktop Drive V2 USB 3.0 3TB.

I have Merlins latest stable firmware.

I hooked it up with NTFS formated and it worked for the few minutes i tried it. Then i read these forums that ext3 is the better choice. I tried to format the drive to ext3 (all of it), and when i plug the drive in the router just bootloops.

I read some more and someone said you should have 1 gig partition of NTFS and the rest ext3 so i did that. And it still bootloops as soon as i plug it in.

Any advice on fileformat? I´m not gonna use it for any kind of dlna. I just want to use t for Asus download master and beeing able to access those files from 2 computers. Thats it. So i dont reallt need the fastest speeds or anything. Just something thats stable and works. :)

Thanks in advance.

Edit: I have a second question. Where do you enable the router to use USB3 instead of usb 2 "USB 3.0 Interference reduction". I cant find it. Been looking everywhere.
