New Around Here
Hi, I need support to connect this router to my internet, my ISP is Brighhouse their modem is a Motorola SB6141 (NO WIFI, just modem). I do have connection to the router but im stuck in the connection wizard, is not detecting the IP's apparently.

I'm currently using a Linksys EA6400 and everything is working fine.

Please let me know what could be the problem.

Thanks

did you call brighthouse and have the new cable modem provisioned?
If it works with your linksys router plugged in then turn off the modem, unplug the linksys, plug in the asus, turn the modem on first, wait until it all turns blue on the icons, then turn the asus on and then go from there
if you don't turn the modem off then back on, it may not see the MAC address and release/renew the internal IP address to the new router.
try that

Did you try the setup procedure that Asus outlines?

Otherwise try the following:
1. Turn off your modem and do a hard reset, then leave it unplugged.
2. Turn off your router and do a hard reset. connect the WAN port of the router to the WAN port on the modem. Leave the power turned off.
3. Connect a client PC directly (hard wired) to a LAN port on the Asus RT-AC68.
Restart the PC to clear the wired LAN Connection.
4. Plug in your modem. Plug in/turn on your router.
5. It could take several minutes for your modem to make the connection to the ISP. You should see the indicator lights on your modem indicating that it is connected to the Internet. Your modem should also indicate that it is seeing the connection to the router and that there is activity.

The router should indicate on the front that it is powered up and that there is a client on the ethernet LAN port. It should also indicate when it has connection to the internet.

You will have to troubleshoot if your modem is not connecting to the internet or if your router is not connecting to the internet.

6. After the modem and router have connected properly, open a browser on the attached client PC. It should give the startup/setup screen for the Asus router. I would use either Firefox or IE as a browser. Some people have problems with Chrome. I don't know about other browsers. Do not use the TOR browser. In my experience, the Firmware does not recognize the TOR browser as being resident on my network.

If you don't see the startup/setup screen on your browser, try typing in 192.168.1.1 into the browser to see if you get the password window.

If you do, go from there. Default user name is "admin". Default password is "admin".
