Asus RT-AC86U Guest Networks

I've noticed when using the Guest Networks, 1-3, if I disable Intranet Access, it blocks internet altogether. As soon as I enable Intranet, the internet access comes back.

I don't remember it being this way in the past. Anyone else noticed this?
What can I do about this?

All three Guest Networks? This was a known issue for Guest Network 1 only.

What firmware is your router running?
This problem of disabling Intranet Access on Guest Networks (usually Guest Network 1) blocking internet access is a well discussed problem. For example see here, and here, and here, and here, and here, and here.

Some routers have firmware updates that may resolve the issue.
Otherwise if you are using Asus-Merlin firmware and not doing AiMesh you can try using YazFi.
Or you can roll back to an earlier firmware where the issue wasn't present.
