New Around Here
Just install recently a new ASUS RT-AC87R router which is in router mode and my old ASUS RT-AC66U as an access point. keep getting in my System log a flood of error saying the following: "

Dead loop on virtual device vlan2, fix it urgently!"

On my port 1 have the eth that goes to my RT-AC66U
port 2 eth have a storage hard drive (mybooklive hardrive)
port 3 eth my directv box
port 4 eth appletv

On the back of the asus rt-ac87r mentions that port 1-2 are for link aggregation. Already try to understand what VLAN port are and still don't understand. Are those two port only for switches only?

Try a forum search, the vlan2 dead loop issue has been discussed in various threads already, and has already been fixed by Asus in internal beta firmwares.
