ASUS RT-AC87U - Wired Ethernet - Torrent issue.

New Around Here
Hello everyone,

I have just bought an ASUS RT-AC87U router and tried both Merlin WRT and Stock Firmware.

I connected by Machine to the router via wire - and started a torrent download, unfortunately after a few moments/minutes, the router will drop my connection. The only way to re-establish it is to either unplug the network cable, plug the network cable in a different port or enable/disable my LAN Card.

I have also repeated the same test with the old Linksys router I have which is about 8 years old and the connection is not dropped at all when downloading torrents.

Downloading torrents via the 2.4 Ghz band has no issues. - Can't test the 5Ghz band right now as my other notebook is in service.

Has anyone experienced this sort of issue ? Were you able to solve it somehow ?

I am keen on going to ask for a refund on Monday.

Regards,
Gabriel.
