Asus RT-AC8U EU versus US version

Hi, can you help me? Regarding the Asus RT-AC86U I understand the USA version 2.4 ghz has channels 1 to 11. Where the EU version has 1-13. Could you please tell me the 5ghz channels available in the GUI on the US version of RT-AC86U compared to the EU which is 36-48 and the 100 band. Also is there a US power difference on 5ghz. Thanks in advance would appreciate the help.

not sure about the power diff but I did see that my LG wallpaper TV didn't like the 100-136 channels. it would buffer for no reason and make the stream unwatchable.

Thanks that is really interesting reading, got me very interested.

What is the Hardware version of your router please it is written on the box and the back of the router. Seen R1.41 and R1.5 so far. Trying to understand if the CFE is connected to this!?

the boot loader is not tied to the rev. and both my CN and US 86's are rev R1.5

Hey I have the same gearbest version but for the life of me I can’t get the openvpn server to work. Could I ask if your openvpn will generate the certs and keys as my boxes are alaways blank no matter what I select, never had this issue with the old n66u
R1.5 here set to Europe as in the uk
