New Around Here
I finally replaced my Fios router with something in the modern age. Sadly I picked a model with no Merlin support. Anyway, I was able to configure everything and I started testing. The only showstopper issue I found was with the dnsmasq DNS server. It works great as a passthrough server but it does not server any local names. If I do a nslookup on the router, local network names are returned correctly. But from any computers on my local network, dns lookups (for local names) always return 10.0.0.1. I checked the /etc/dnsmasq.conf file and nothing there is blocking serving up DNS. I am doing all testing with a basically brand new router running ASUSWRT 3.0.0.4.382.51569.
