New Around Here
Morning, Thanks for having me.
I have just bought the above router to replace the Talk Talk Super router in the hope that the wifi signal will be improved.
We have it all set up and the wifi is great in the downstairs of the house, but no better and probably a bit worse upsatirs.
We have the Asus plugged into the Talk talk router and situated next to it.
Any suggestions as to what we might try to improve the signal would be very welcome.
We were using a range extender before, should we try that with the Asus?
Could we put the Asus on the landing connecting it to the Talk Talk router with a powerline set?
Hope to hear from you soon.
Cheers
Nick

Presumably you have turned off the WiFi on the TalkTalk router so that it doesn't interfere with the Asus'.

You could try putting some of the antennas at a 45 degree angle to see if that improves the signal upstairs. Signal strength will generally be strongest perpendicular to an antenna.

Could we put the Asus on the landing connecting it to the Talk Talk router with a powerline set?
When using a single device putting it in a central location is usually the best option. However, what are your ISP download and upload speeds? If they're quite high then using a powerline adapter might significantly restrict your throughput.
