ASUS RT-AX86U AP Isolation stuck on, even after factory reset and installing Merlin

New Around Here
Hey all,

I recently ran into a weird issue on my ASUS RT-AX86U. I noticed that my wireless devices were not able to reach wired devices on my network. I confirmed that "AP Isolate" was turned off on both my 2.4GHz and 5GHz channels (and I have no guest networks). However, from SSH, "ap_isolate" is stuck on 1 on one of the wireless interfaces. I have tried rebooting the router, factory resetting it (and reconfiguring all the settings manually), and switching to Merlin (version 3004.388.8_4 specifically). I am out of ideas. Does anyone have any insights here?

This is unrelated to AP Isolate issue. It isolates wirelessly connected to the interface devices from each other, but they'll still have access to wired devices.

Interesting to know. Alright, this is weirder than I thought. I can ping wireless devices from other wireless devices on my network and I can ping wireless devices from wired devices, but I cannot ping wired devices from wireless devices. I captured some traffic and it looks like ARP requests are going unanswered (I get "destination host unreachable" when I try to ping).

If you did a Hard Factory Reset, aka WPS Reset, it is possible that not all the settings were Reset to defaults. Known issue with AX86U. Reflash the Asus firmware and reflash with initialize from the GUI.

I performed my factory reset from the web interface: "Administration" -> "Restore/Save/Upload Setting" -> "Faculty default" (checking "Initialize all the settings, and clear all the data log for AiProtection, Traffic Analyzer, and Web History.")
