Asus RT-BE88U 10Gb sfp+ port

New Around Here
Can the Asus RT-BE88U 10Gb sfp+ port connect as a WAN port?
Plugged into the BE88U sfp+ port with a sfp+ module ending with RJ45 copper via Cat7 Lan cable to ISP's provider ONT 10Gb RJ45 copper port.
No connection to internet. The internet connectivity light on the router panel shows "red".
But when I plugged the router's 10Gb RJ45 copper port directly to the ONT 10Gb RJ45 copper port, internet is connected.

What could be wrong?

Have you tried changing this setting to SFP+. With and without activating dual wan?

Thank you Ameenhuus! Did not know about this setting. It worked great after I changed the setting!

Also, just to highlight, the sfp+ module (brand I used is ‘sodala’) is Very, Very, Very Hot to the touch after installing it! ..not sure whether the router ‘insides’ would be damaged long term. Is this normal operation temperature?

Thanks again Ameenhuus for the tip!

10G SFP+ copper connections use quite a bit of power and get hot. SFP+ modules realistically should be for fiber connections.
