New Around Here
I recently purchased an rt-n66r and I've been trying to figure out how to increase my file transfer read/write to the usb drives attached to the router. I turned on ftp as part of my tinkering and found that when ftp is turned on it listens on your WAN ports IP address. I confirmed by turning it off and on just to make sure nothing went haywire and even reflashed the image.

If you are using the asus or merlin fw I suggest checking for yourself. I had mine turned on for about six hours before I realized it and unfortunately didn't have the fw logging turned on so I have no idea if anyone hit it.

Also if you have download master turned on port 4662 is listening on the WAN IP as well.

I'm going to log a ticket w/asus but I figured I'd put out a heads up on this.
