New Around Here
I have a new Asus RT-N66u router and having some problems.
I need to forward a few ports for cameras use computer as a media server etc. I also need WOL working when I am away from home.
Port forwarding does not stick. I go to the section in the router with virtual server/port forwarding. I click on enable,I put a device name in, port range (I use a single port number), Local IP (192.168.1.101 the computers local IP address), Protocol I tried TCP,UDB & Both. Then I click apply and it goes through processing 1-100% but it does not stick.
I tried upgrading to the latest firmware with no luck on these problems.
Any idea on how to get the port forwarding to stick? and how do I get WOL wake on lan working when I am away?
On my other router I used DD-WRT but it seems like most people say it is not stable on this router.
How is tomato?
I don't know anything about tomato. will it do what I need? is it stable? What file or files do I need to install it on this router?
Thanks
