New Around Here
Guys,
I am wanting to setup a web server on a Raspberry Pi and host it from my house (Wordpress on Raspbian). I have the Asus RT N66U and I am just curious about the security implications if I have the ports forwarded from the router to the Pi. Is there a way to setup a separate VLAN for the Raspberry Pi to be on, so theres no way a potential hacker could see my other machines?
If my Raspberry Pi was somehow compromised from the outside, could a potential hacker somehow ssh/connect to my other Macs on my home network?
What would be the most secure way to have a Pi visible to the outside world and have it hosted from the house without being vulnerable - the Pi would be patched and default username/password changed of course.
Just trying to do something as a hobby, but I do not want my home network compromised in any way.
TIA!
