New Around Here
Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone was able to get Comcast IPV6 working in RMelin's build or DD-WRT? I am not very familiar with either firmware. I have been doing a lot of research but the information that I have found is over my head. If any of you guys know how to do it could you please give me instructions on how to configure it and get it working correctly?

Thank you,
Rocky

Comcast ipv6 works great on Merlin's and the Asus firmware. Not much to configure just set it to Native and hit apply. Keep in mind your modem will also have to support v6 as well. I recommended the Merlin firmware because he has implemented a firewall for v6 and as of now Asus has not.

Yep, real easy to turn on IPv6 on AsusWRT-Merlin firmware.

Connection type: Native
DHCP-PD: Enabled
Router advertisement: Enabled

And don't forget to set your IPv6 DNS servers as well.

When it finishes applying the changes, you'll have to power cycle the router to get it back up as it will appear to have locked up after applying the IPv6 changes.

This is for Comcast only btw. Your ISP might have different settings.

Comcast has IPv6 DNS servers it advertises over DHCPv6. You shouldn't need to enter IPv6 DNS servers, unless you want to, of course.

Cool thanks for your help fellas. I thought it was going to be like DD-WRT where you had to put some information in to configure it. I have another router that runs DD-WRT. I wish I could figure it out on that one now.
