It’s even better than that! I am actually waiting on my new Firewalla Gold to be delivered today. More extensive testing revealed the ER7206 was better than the Asus in failover but still not realiably so. During that testing I remembered why I had originaaly dropped using the eero system. If the eero does not have internet connectivity for any length of time even the local network goes offline. That is unacceptable, hence my returned to using the CT8 pair. They work great in AP mode with the third wifi band as a dedicated wireless backhaul. I will keep you updated on my testing of the failover capabilities of the FWG.What happened to ER7206 and Eero now?
Is this a new signature of the week or a new signature of the day?![]()

Had I come across your recommendation of the Synology RT2600ac
I returned both TP Link routers to Amazon, gotta love their return policy! You are going to end up with bigger router collection than mine and much more expensive.
It does Dual WAN properly, but it's an older model, overpriced and bound to specific firmware only.
I'll check your signature next week.![]()
