ASUSwrt 386.9 no WiFi

hello,

i have fresh installed 386.9(router reset and 386.9 asuswrt install), but no wifi radio is visible

Why
... and 386.9 asuswrt install
If you are using Asus-Merlin firmware, why go with the older 386.9 that is over two years old/out of date? Why not the latest 386.14_2 which has an AiCloud security vulnerability fix? If you have a TM-AC1900 that was jail broken, ensure you have properly jail broken it including the MTD5 fix. Example jailbreaking with MTD5 fix.

Try performing a hard factory reset if you haven't done so already. Then configure the router manually. Do not import a previously saved router.cfg file. Do not install a USB drive or install add-on scripts at first. Check the router is working properly before installing the extras.

because it not worked right. i have many (complete) hard factory reset done, after the first restart, the WLAN is no longer visible AND the device is no longer reachable complete. but only in actual versions(>386.9). but now also in 386.9 (that always worked great otherwise), but only on WiFi, APs are On in the web interface, but during the AP scan no AP visible(Hide SSID: No is set in the setting in web interface)

but i can work with direct LAN connection without problems

what was the AiCloud security vulnerability fix? and no i have no TM-AC1900. you can see my device in my signature

As my sig line indicates, I have a RT-AC68U running the latest Asus-Merlin 386.14_2. WiFi works fine. WiFi has worked fine through many firmware versions since 386.9 on my RT-AC68U's.

The reason I ask if you have a TM-AC1900 (which is generally a rebadged RT-AC68U) is because if one improperly jail broke it (didn't do the mtd5 fix) they couldn't load later Asus-Merlin firmware on it. (eta: The TM-AC1900 will say "T-Mobile Personal Cell Spot" on the front of the case.)

Are you running any addon scripts or have you used SSH to make changes at the firmware level?
When you do a hard factory reset are you reloading a saved router.cfg configuration file?

The AiCloud security vulnerability is discussed in the following link. If one has enabled the AiCloud feature they open a potential security hole that could allow malware to infect the router. One of the symptoms of the malware is causing various issues with the router and it's WiFi.

no access from outside possible to the router, only a few ports a redirected to the router,
