Asuswrt-Merlin 376.47 Beta 1 with Transmission and Entware

New Around Here
I just started getting in to using my router with Transmission and Entware. I was following the great tutorials by Merlin and TeHashX. Thank you both greatly for getting me this far, pretty amazing how well you guys put that information out and how clear it is.

My Router is the AC66u and I have 1 drive hooked up to it now. I want to use a swap file and so I am following these instructions here: http://forums.smallnetbuilder.com/showpost.php?p=111790&postcount=251

I changed the path's to what works with my setup which seemed to get it working as the file has been created and it shows that when typing Free. My issue is during download it seems the swap file is not being used. I type free "during a download" this is what I see:

Code:
ASUSWRT-Merlin RT-AC66U_3.0.0.4 Sun Sep 14 21:57:15 UTC 2014
admin@RTAC66U:/tmp/home/root# free
             total used free shared buffers
Mem: 239564 167880 71684 0 8932
-/+ buffers: 158948 80616
Swap: 262136 0 262136

What do I need to do to get the swapfile to be used during download? Trying to reduce memory usage and maybe a bit if CPU load if possible.

I guess I spoke to soon, after the first download now it seems to be using it LOL So nevermind:)

Hi Andrey.
I have 256 MB internal memory and free more than 60Mb but my swap file use 2-3Mb from 256 MB swap disk space.

and what?

if you have 1k free memory and swap not used than question why?

but you have more than 25% free memory and ask why swap not use?????
why it must be used?
