New Around Here
I have a RT-AX86U (not PRO), my problem is that I am unable to add more devices to my AX.
I have the latest firmware (3.0.0.4.38_24243).
I have configured my AX with 2.4 and 5.0 using WPA2-Personal AES.

I have 4 devices connected to my ethernet ports, around 7 devices to my 2.4, around 12 to my 5.0.
PROBLEM is that I cannot add more devices to either my 2.4 or 5.0 but I am able to connect he same devices to my other, less secure, wifi (2.4+5.0).
I have restored the "Factory default" without success.

I have rebooted my AX several times without success.
I have rebooted my provider modem without success.
I have tried multiple devices to see if it could me a device issue, without success.

In some posts it is said the memory may be saturated and I need to do a FACTORY RESET.
Before I do that and still have the same issue, I would like to check with you guys if there is another way to resolve my problem.

Thanks in advance.

The RT-AX86U can easily handle many more client connections than you have so your problem is something else.

What error message do you get when trying to connect?

What messages do you see in the router's System Log > General Log ?

Collin,

here is the log from the moment my cam started to try to connect to my2.4 till the cam showed a "fail to connect message" :

By the way I have other issues, not sure they related : some radio button in the web interface don't work properly, click A and B is selected, click B and A is selected.
Also unable to APPLY mac filters : I enter them but when clicking on APPLY, nothing happens.

Like f the web interface is corrupted !

I used the web interface in Microsoft EDGE.

UPDATE : forget this, I just installed Chrome : radio button and apply button issue is gone ...

Given this additional information I think a factory reset is going to be the quickest was to resolve your problems. But you said you tried that already?

I switch to Chrome, radio and apply button work now.

I did a reboot, not a factory reset.

I disabled PMF on both 2.4 and 5.0 then rebooted then retried to connect 2 different devices (cam and LG TV), none were able to connect.

What devices can't connect and on what band? All on 2.4GHz?

Set your router this way and try again:
