I have been trying a lot of configs for wireless, I have noticed that some control channels for 160mhz are missing, besides other channels in 80, 40 and 20mhz. 177/20,175/40,173/20, 171/80, 169/20,167/40, 163/160, 159/20, 155/80, 151/40 are missing outside of DFS range. Can they be placed on firmware please, they are needed to widen range plus have better extension channels!?

See Attached Picture...

Thank you!

I was reading another thread about it being hard coded, my router is in the US, can anything be done for U-NII-3 channels?

Channels above 165 are only currently allowed in the US as far as I know. To add new channels to an existing product Asus would have to go through the whole FCC certification process which takes time and money. And that's assuming that the hardware is physically capable of operating on the frequencies which might not be the case.

The channels/spectrum available are regulated by the country/region your router is built for. And then the radio driver and/or ASUS firmware may further restrict the control channels you can use. My AX86U offers all U-NII-3 channels, 149-165 (US FCC channel plans).

You are quoting the center channels not the control channel format that the GUI displays. So for example 151/40 isn't valid but 149/40 and 153/40 is.

ok Center channels, what I quoted are channels that are authorized in USA. My router is a AX router and should be able to. My router was shipped to me in USA from ASUS, unless BestBuy sold me a router that wasn't. I can buy one directly from ASUS again, I had 2 of the same routers and AiMesh didn't work correctly, so I got my money back.

Picture uploaded, footnote added as well when USA added and authorized use of channels... I also forgot to mention it is UNII3/UNI4 those channels.

Your router model predates those changes. The FCC only released details on the new certification process in September 2021, your model got FCC approval in February 2018. As I said before, you cannot assume that a router that was designed prior to 2018 is capable of operating in another way just because there was a regulation change in one country. Maybe they can and will recertify it, but it will take time and money - it's not just a software fix.

Colin I had after thought, how do I look up when a device got FCC approval, to get those channels in firmware for Asus device or other??

I'm a brit, but doesn't the approval number need to be attached to the device, and it can be used to look up the approval?
