Does this apply to the old wifi-5 standard too? I'm still on the RT-AC66U B1.

Yes.

The airtime fairness i could almost understand, but the Universal Beamforming sounds almost like a good thing? Why would this be disabled? And why is it enabled by default if it's a bad setting?
Should 802.11ac Beamforming be disabled aswell?
