hi

just doing some testing and cant see to get bandwidth limiter to do anything on the current stock fw

is it broke , if so does it work on merlin fw

have set dhcp reserved ip address and set speeds and selected the client and added it etc

im on a 100/40M plan speed and no matter what i set the bandwidth limit to even 10 down and 10 up i still get my plan speed on the speed test app

i know traditional qos has been broke for a while , is bandwidth limiting the same these days

I'm using "Bandwidth-Limited" with Merlin 380.65 and it works perfectly for me. Gives really good scores for "Buffer-Bloat" etc.

7266 broke the Bandwidth Limiter. It was fixed in 7378.

It works in my code because 380.65 is based on an older version, and with 380.66 alpha I applied a fix provided by Asus.

thanks mate , seems the fix isnt available yet for the rt-ac88u

Seeing how 7378 is mostly a security update, I suspect Asus will upgrade all their main models quite soon.
