BE88U: Remove hidden wireless networks?

Just bought a new BE88U and running merlin 3006.102.3 in Router mode. When scanning I found it is broadcasting 2 hidden networks in addition to what I configured, and I can't find a way to get rid of them. They might be related to interfaces wl0.4 and wl1.4, and I tried removing related entries in nvram, but upon reboot they're all back.
Ideas? Thanks in advance.

I think something similar is happening with my RT-BE86U running the same FW. Using a WiFi detector app on my phone I see two hidden networks appear momentarily and disappear, overlapping the channels and signal strengths of the visible SSIDs I configured on 2.4 and 5GHz.

Most likely used by AiMesh, used or not. There is nothing to fix.

If these are networks that appear momentarily, they may even be from devices that allow for direct ad-hoc connections. Examples here are speaker systems and printers.

Nah, I see the same, and definely from the router.
From what I've seen these "phantom" networks are occasionally identified by a long hexadecimal string in a wifi analyzer. Needn't be active where there's no aimesh.
I don't see this being a big issue though.
@i0ntempest @Zarrow does either of you have a spare ax or be router you could temporarily set up in wireless aimesh, see what happens to that network?

AiMesh is off. Never used it, never enabled it.

No printers or speakers on the network.

I don't, unfortunately.

So the message is, just ignore the phantom SSIDs. I can live with that.

My old AX86U didn't have these hidden networks tho.

Your old RT-AX86U wasn't running 3006 firmware. Asus redesigned Network configuration and is in the process of redesigning AiMesh.

I checked my BE96U and I have three hidden networks, one each for the 2.4, 5, and 6 GHz networks.
I believe it is a WiFi 7 function as the MAC addresses are within a few digits of each other and the encryption is shown as GCMP-256/PSK and have the same uptime as my regular networks.
I'm using WinFi 2.0 to display this information for the 113 WiFi networks near me.
