BE88U WiFi 7 - SonosOne SL

I recently updated the BE88U firmware to the latest Merlin version (3006.102.3). I also use the BE86U as an AiMesh (also with Merlin firmware - there it was uploaded earlier - but I think it has nothing to do with it).
On the BE88U I had to do a downgrade (from Asus firmware). Everything went ok.
However, one of the devices on the network (Sonos One SL with the latest firmware in from Sonos) sent to connect to WiFi.
After experimenting with the settings, I noticed that turning on the WiFi 7 option makes the Sonos unable to connect. Which is very strange because on the original firmware it was going without a problem.
I haven't reset the BE88U configuration - maybe that's the problem - but it's quite strange because Sonos doesn't use WiFi 7.
Maybe someone can confirm that similar hardware (Sonos) works with Merlin and with WiFi 7 option?

With authentication set to WPA2-Personal, if wifi7 is activated it'll change to WPA2/WPA3-Personal (which some devices don't like). If the authentication is then changed back to WPA2-Personal wifi7 is automatically disabled.
So it seems like a choice of one or the other.

I did factory reset - did not help.
@Ripshod yep I noticed that - but on Asus firmware it was Ok (WiFi 7 / Wpa2/Wpa3). I did not change anything in config after my downgrade and install firmware.

On my old RT-AX88U I had access to a security setting in wifi (Protected Management Frames) which has disappeared with these BE routers. I do remember that setting causing problems with some devices. Whether it's forced, disabled or in some kind of compatibility mode now I can't say
