Hi all, please know someone information about this router?

In my country (czech) I want buy one of these two routers netgear:
1) NETGEAR WiFi Router AC1900 R6800 R6800-100PES -> 126 EURO
2) NETGEAR Nighthawk Smart R7000P-100PES -> 186 EURO
3) NETGEAR Nighthawk X4S R7800-100PES -> 210 EURO

I know that second is liiiiitle better than first, maybe, but price is very different and I not know if is really better pay so many more, between these two routers. Third is for more money but when I now look on specs so cpu is Krait from qualcom 4core 1.7GHZ and twice ram,512MB than have two previous routers.

This will be my first router for more money, so I want buy good (good in price versus specification), so I write here for some tips from more experienced users :) Anyone who give some tips big thanks.

So, now I order R7800 :)
People bought router maybe once for many years, so here does not worth saving here some small money.

R7800 with my optical viber show me results around 530Mbps DL and 440Mbps UL (via speedtest.net). This result is wih turn on smart tv, plus nas, plus some other small things. :cool:

I using UNHFREE.NET, this is provider in my small city (near the capital of the Czech Republic),, connection is via optical viber.

This results are with "Nighthawk X4S via Wifi 5GHz" and my notebook is "HP Spectre x360 13 version 2017" with wifi card "Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265".

But when I was doing this test on speedtest.net, so I had my SamsungSmartTV & NAS turn on,, so maybe when I both turn off so results can be "maybe" little better.

ps: my optical viber cost for one month plus minus only 9 euro (249 czech krounds) :p

For a wifi its good speed. But your ISP should have committed a speed for monthly fee right. As far i see the 500+mbps is good speed. But have you subcribed for 500mbps line or 1gb line.

I have permanent price 9 euro for month for this speed :) No limitation, or pay more, etc. This is standart price 9euro/month in my city for this internet connection, maybe I have luck on good location.

I got it. My query is 500mb line which the laptop show is via wifi. So did you tried on LAN port and see if this is the max speed or more you can achieve, As WIFI is limited always

But my 2in1 laptop HP Spectre x360 13 model 2017 haven't ethernet connector.
Maybe I have in some hp box thunderbolt3 reduction on ethernet so I can try it :)
But my provider say me that his optical viber can be up to +- 3000 (but this I never tested).

300 or 3k. I dont think anywhere beyond 1gb line is provided.

As even though you have ac wifi latest laptop. It can only give 70% of the throughput ie 867mbps connection rate.

So better you test via wired line to see or check the myaccount page of the ISP to see what is he providing.

Another best way to see the real time speed is to do this test.

https://www.backblaze.com/speedtest/

No it is will show the right speed or close to right.

One thing to know 1MB is equals to 1024kb. But ISP will say 100mb only but in reality i used to get 113Mbps on a 100Mb line with normal Speed test or FTP file transfer, Steam download etc.

So your speed could be right . But you did actual seen this if all or few devices consuming at that time of test.
