best nonlinux filesystem for external USB ?

New Around Here
I know that ext3/4 is probably the best option for an external USB drive's filesystem, but if that is not an option which would be considered the next best option HFS+ or NTFS?

After some searching in the forums, it seems there might be some issues with large ntfs drives - is this still the case with most recent builds ?

Thanks again for the fantastic work on this firmware!

For non-native, I would go with NTFS, as it's more modern than HFS+, and probably better tested as well (larger userbase).

No idea if the new Tuxera driver works better with filesystems larger than 2TB - I didn't test it.
