Best safe way to upgrade from 378.55_0

New Around Here
Hello everyone,
I don't want to breake my router so first I ask to people more expert then me :) I have an RT-N66U with asus merlin 378.55_0. Which is the best way to upgrade? Because it is an old version and there is a new firmware format used.

Another questions, I have a small hotel and my ISP say that I do a lot of traffic... After the upgrade I want to put this router in the hotel to use the "device Ip monitor" to see how much is this traffic. I have read that this router have less features caused by cpu limits or something like that, is this true? Have the other models more features? Is there a page where I can see the differences? Thanks

Just flash 380.65 like any other version, after that do a factory default reset, and manually reconfigure everything.

The RT-N66U and RT-AC66U will lack all the features that are based on the Trend Micro engine. IPTraffic however is not based on it, and is available. Make sure you read the documentation on how to configure it.
