Hi Merlin,

I will also start with huge thanks for your work!

In our environment we are all apple, iPhone 5 & 4S, iPad 4 and Mini, iMac 2012, MacBook Pro 2013, Apple TV and MacBook Air 2013.

Which build of firmware would you suggest for best wireless performance and stability on both bands? I do my best to keep up with your builds but I'm afraid I'm a bit overwhelmed ATM. Currently on 270.26b.

Thanks again

Mike

If 270.26b works well, then go with 374.32. It uses the same wireless driver.

Mike, I'm in a mostly Apple home (2 x MacBook Pros, 2 x iOS devices, 1 ATV3, Airport Express auxiliary AP, Synology NAS doing Time Machine duty, and a handful of other devices mostly wired) w/ N66 router. I'm starting to log some actual wifi & other network stats, and of course f/w I'm using here:

http://bit.ly/PrivateJokerWifi

I'm on 3.0.0.4.374.32-MW currently.

Mostly to compare my signal strengths and speeds build over build. The sophistication of my tests is eons behind the router tests SNB does, but minimally it gives me some practical data to make limited observations with.

HTH

PS - in this post I mentioned some info about tools built into Lion & Mountain Lion to help you do some pretty nifty site surveys and other measurements, all built into your Macs already.
