Can an Asus router resolve Bonjour / Zeroconf hostname?

If so, is there a way to connect an Asus router to the LAN to function as a DNS server?

Shouldn't need to directly support mDNS (Avahi/Bonjour) - as mDNS works independently of DNS...

Risk here is having .local as the Router/GW name, as this is a reserved value, and can break mDNS...

Unfortunately, MS does default this in Windows Service 2012 Active Directory if there isn't a domain name given...
