Since setting up my 87U with policy rules, I have a need for one implementation.
As it is now I have it setup that all traffic goes to the VPN 192.168.1.0/24
and Specific IP address's for example SMPT for email, ebay, facebook, bank etc. go to Local ISP "WAN"
As it is now one cannot remote desktop or run a FTP server to the PC when running a VPN client because the policy rules allow outgoing traffic to go VIA the WAN not incoming.
How hard would it be to add a rule in Policy rules to have specific incoming ports bypass the VPN so that one can setup a remote desktop session or run an FTP server?
Or can this be done with the firmware and I am missing something?
This would really spice up the VPN policy rules.
as it is now if I want to use remote desktop to connect to my PC at home when I am away, I have to make sure I disconnect the PC from the VPN or I cannot connect.
