New Around Here
I have a home network with a mixture of XP and Windows 7 PC's. All the PC's can access my NetComm NBPlus4 modem/router setup via Internet Explorer. Recently I have acquired a Samsung Tablet PC running Windows 8. I have successfully connected this PC to my network without any issue. My only problem is that I cannot access the modem with this PC to view its setup via my browser. I get as far as the logon screen, I enter the Username and password and nothing happens.

If anyone has any clues I would appreciate your help.

Fonzie.

Hi,
Tried to ping the box from the tablet? What does it show?

Hi Tony,
Thanks for your prompt reply.

I know the Tablet can see the router as I actually get to its LOGON webpage. I fill in the username and password and nothing happens after that. It just stays on the LOGON screen. On my other PC's, I get instant access.

Ping statistics for 192.168.1.1:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss)
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 4ms, Maximum = 28ms, Average = 10ms

Regards
Fonzie

Is the router enabled to be accessed by wireless devices? Some routers require you to enable it on its setup.
