Cannot access shared folder in Ubuntu 12.04 from W7

Hello,
I'm trying to enable sharing of a folder in Ubuntu 12.04. I would like to access it and edit files inside it from Windows 7. I went to properties; Local network share; checked "Share this folder" and "Allow others to create and delete files in this folder" and I can see that folder on other computers but when I try to access it I'm getting popup windows asking me to enter network password (with user name). I never set any network password. How can I access that folder?

It is the user name and password of the local account on the Windows 7 machine. So if you have a user name of "bob" and a password of "12345" that is what you need to enter.
